I admit I don’t have the most engaging personality, and I can only wish I had that golden ticket known as charisma … however I do feel I make an honest effort to listen and appear interested when someone else is speaking. But what do you do when someone yammers on and on and there’s no on/off switch ?

I’m talking about the Art of Conversation.

It’s only in recent years I’ve become fully aware of the dynamic that exists in the way we interact from one person to another, realizing I’d never before dwelled on the specifics of why I prefer the company of some more than others. When someone seems generally interested in what you’re doing or what you have to say, it triggers a subtle stimulation which in turn solicits a reciprocal action, and the result of this is usually a very satisfying conversation … for both parties.
